Tranexamic Acid for Injection
Function and Efficacy
Pharmacological action: Fibrinolysis is related to the body's fibrinolysis and increased vascular permeability under physiological or pathological conditions. It is also related to the body's reaction to fibrinolysis, the occurrence, development and cure of various bleeding symptoms and allergic reactions. This product can inhibit the action of this plasmin, and show hemostatic, anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects. 1. Anti-plasmin effect. Tranexamic acid can strongly adsorb to the lysine binding site (LBS) of the fibrin affinity site on plasmin and plasminogen, inhibiting the binding of plasmin and plasminogen to fibrin, thereby strongly inhibiting the fibrinolysis caused by plasmin; in addition, in the presence of anti-plasmins such as macroglobulins in serum, the anti-fibrinolytic effect of tranexamic acid is more obvious.

Indication
This product is mainly used for various bleeding caused by acute or chronic, localized or systemic primary hyperfibrinolysis. This product is generally not used for secondary hyperfibrinolytic state caused by disseminated intravascular coagulation before heparinization. This product is also suitable for: 1. Traumatic or surgical bleeding in organs rich in plasminogen activators such as the prostate, urethra, lungs, brain, uterus, adrenal glands, and thyroid glands. 2. Used as an antagonist of tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA), streptokinase, and urokinase. 3. Fibrinolytic bleeding caused by artificial abortion, early placental abruption, stillbirth, and amniotic fluid embolism. 4. Pathologically increased local fibrinolysis in the uterine cavity, menorrhagia, and anterior chamber
Usage and Dosage
Intravenous drip: Generally, adults take 0.25-0.5g at a time, and 1-2g per day if necessary, divided into 1-2 doses. The dose can be appropriately increased or decreased according to age and symptoms, or as directed by the doctor. To prevent bleeding before and after surgery, the above dose can be used as a reference. To treat bleeding caused by primary fibrinolysis. The dose can be increased as appropriate.
Adverse Reactions
This product has fewer adverse reactions than 6-aminocaproic acid. Occasionally, there are cases of intracranial thrombosis and bleeding caused by drug overdose. There are also diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. Less common are menstrual discomfort (caused by blood coagulation during menstruation). Since this product can enter the cerebrospinal fluid, there may be central nervous system symptoms such as blurred vision, headache, dizziness, fatigue, etc. after injection, especially related to the injection speed, but it is rare. Those who must continue to use this product for a long time should undergo ophthalmic examination and monitoring (such as vision test, vision, visual field and fundus). Once it occurs, the drug should be stopped immediately and symptomatic treatment should be given.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to any ingredient in this product.
Drug Interactions
1. It is incompatible with thrombolytic agents such as penicillin or urokinase. 2. When used in combination with oral contraceptives, estrogen or prothrombin complex concentrates, there is an increased risk of thrombosis.
