Appearance
White, odorless, colorless crystalline powder, melting point 240℃ (decomposition). Insoluble in cold water, alcohol and general organic solvents, slightly soluble in hot water, soluble in sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate and ammonia solutions, soluble in 160 parts of 100℃ boiling water. Its alkali metal salts are soluble in water.
