This product is a combination of iodine and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). PVP is a nonionic surfactant with stable properties, excellent physiological inertness and biocompatibility, film-forming, adhesion, detoxification, chronic release, strong water solubility, and good microbial degradation. It is a broad-spectrum bactericide. Its mechanism of action: iodine is a highly active halogen element with good microbial killing effect. The bactericidal effect is mainly due to the iodine element itself, which can directly halogenate bacterial protein and combine with the amino acids of protein, thereby destroying the protein and enzyme of the bacterial body, and the microorganism dies due to metabolic dysfunction.
