Function and Efficacy
It mainly inhibits the emetic chemoreceptors in the medulla oblongata and has a strong antiemetic effect; it promotes gastric motility, recalls the emptying of gastric contents, and improves gastric function; it has a slight inhibitory effect on higher centers, but has no hypnotic effect. It acts quickly and takes effect 15 minutes to 1 hour after intramuscular injection.
