When used to treat subarachnoid hemorrhage, the concentration in cerebrospinal fluid can reach 12.5ng/ml. It can be inferred that it can be used clinically to prevent vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage, but the mechanism of action of this drug in humans is still unclear. The main ingredient of this product is nimodipine. Its chemical name is 1-methylethyl-2-methoxyethyl, 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl)-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate.

Take as follows, or follow the doctor's advice. 1. Ischemic cerebrovascular disease: Oral, 80-120 mg (4-6 tablets) per day, divided into 3 doses, for one month. 2. Migraine: Oral, 40 mg (2 tablets) once, 3 times a day, 12 weeks as a course of treatment, effective rate of 88%, about half of the cases can be basically cured or significantly effective, for vascular, tension, cluster and mixed headaches, etc. can reduce the pain, reduce the frequency and duration of attacks, and prevent the appearance of premonitory symptoms. 3. Cerebral vasospasm caused by subarachnoid hemorrhage: Oral, 40-60 mg (2-3 tablets) once, 3-4 times a day, 3-4 weeks as a course of treatment. For patients who need surgery, stop taking the medicine on the day of surgery, and continue to take it later. 4. Sudden deafness: Oral, 40-60 mg (2-3 tablets) per day, divided into 3 doses, 5 days as a course of treatment, generally 3-4 courses of treatment. 5. Mild and moderate hypertension: Patients with hypertension and the above-mentioned cerebrovascular diseases can be given priority. Oral administration, 40 mg (2 tablets) at a time, 3 times a day, the maximum daily dose is 240 mg (12 tablets).

A large number of clinical practices have shown that about 11.2% of patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage experience adverse reactions when treated with nimodipine. The most common adverse reactions are: 1. Decreased blood pressure, the degree of which is related to the drug dose. 2. Hepatitis. 3. Skin tingling. 4. Gastrointestinal bleeding. 5. Thrombocytopenia. 6. Long-term use of antiepileptic drugs such as phenobarbital, phenytoin, and carbamazepine will significantly reduce the bioavailability of oral nimodipine, so it is not recommended to use this product and these antiepileptic drugs at the same time. If used to treat senile brain dysfunction, patients with severe liver dysfunction (such as cirrhosis) are prohibited from using nimodipine.
