Potassium Magnesium Aspartate for Injection
Function and Efficacy
Potassium magnesium aspartate is a mixture of potassium aspartate and magnesium salt, and is an electroporation supplement. Magnesium and magnesium are important cations in cells, and play an important role in a variety of enzyme reactions and muscle contraction processes. The ratio of extracellular potassium ions, calcium ions, sodium ions, and magnesium ions affects myocardial contractility. Aspartate is the precursor of oxaloacetate in the body and plays an important role in the tricarboxylic acid cycle. At the same time, aspartate also participates in the ornithine cycle, promoting the metabolism of ammonia and carbon dioxide, generating urea, and reducing the content of ammonia and carbon dioxide in the blood. Aspartate has a strong affinity with cells and can be used as a carrier for potassium and magnesium ions to enter cells, allowing potassium ions to return to cells, promoting cell depolarization and cell metabolism, and maintaining their normal functions. Magnesium ions are indispensable substances for the production of glycogen and high-energy phosphates, and can enhance the therapeutic effect of potassium aspartate. No obvious toxicity or side effects were observed at the commonly used clinical doses. The LO50 of intravenous injection in mice is greater than 700 mg/kg.
