This product can be used as an adjunctive treatment for patients with type 2 diabetes who use diet and exercise to improve blood sugar. This product can be used alone; when diet and pioglitazone alone cannot satisfactorily control blood sugar, it can be used in combination with sulfonylureas, metformin or insulin.
