Hydroxycamptothecin injection
Function and Efficacy
Hydroxycamptothecin is a trace alkaloid extracted from Camptotheca acuminata Decne. It has significant anticancer activity. 10-Hydroxycamptothecin is a camptothecin molecule in which the hydrogen of the 10th carbon atom is replaced by a hydroxyl group. Therefore, it can be considered a natural derivative of CPT. The anticancer effect of hydroxycamptothecin is different from that of antimetabolites and alkylating agents. Animal experiments have shown that hydroxycamptothecin acts on the S phase and is a cell cycle-specific drug. The effect on the S phase is more obvious than that on the G1 and G2 phases. It has no effect on G0 phase cells. It has an inhibitory effect on nuclear division at higher concentrations. It prevents cells from entering the division phase. In addition, the main reason why camptothecin compounds have been paid so much attention at home and abroad in recent years is the discovery of a new mechanism of action. Hydroxycamptothecin can selectively inhibit topoisomerase, thereby interfering with DNA replication. This type of drug has no cross-resistance with other commonly used anticancer drugs, so it has a therapeutic effect on drug-resistant tumors.
Appearance
This product is a light yellow clear liquid.
Indication
Anti-tumor drugs. Suitable for primary liver cancer, gastric cancer, bladder cancer, colorectal cancer, head and neck epithelial cancer, leukemia and other malignant tumors.
Usage and Dosage
Primary liver cancer - intravenous injection, 4-6 mg per day, diluted with 20 ml of sodium chloride injection, slowly injected, or as directed by a doctor. Hepatic artery administration, 4 mg plus 10 ml of normal saline perfusion, once a day, 15 to 30 days as a course of treatment. Gastric cancer - intravenous injection, 4-6 mg per day, diluted with 20 ml of sodium chloride injection, slowly injected, or as directed by a doctor. Head and neck glandular epithelial carcinoma - intravenous injection, 4-6 mg per day, diluted with 20 ml of sodium chloride injection, slowly injected, or as directed by a doctor. Leukemia - 6 to 8 mg/m2/day for adults added to glucose for intravenous drip, continuous administration for 30 days as a course of treatment. Bladder cancer - add high-frequency diathermy for 100 minutes after bladder perfusion. The first dose can be increased from 6-12 mg/time, gradually increased to 20 mg/time, twice a week, 10 to 15 times as a course of treatment. Rectal cancer: Intraepigastric artery catheterization, inserted about 25 cm, equivalent to the upper part of the branch of the inferior mesenteric tube, 6-8 mg of hydroxycamptothecin is added to 500 ml of 5% glucose solution and dripped into the artery once a day, 15-20 times as a course of treatment
Adverse Reactions
All are lighter than other chemotherapy drugs. 1. No damage to the myocardium, liver and kidneys, no irritation to local tissues. 2. Effects on the digestive system: Mainly manifested in nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and other reactions, but not serious, generally can adhere to the treatment, after stopping the drug, the above symptoms immediately alleviated and quickly disappeared. 3. Effects on the hematopoietic system: There is a partial decrease in white blood cells, but they can be maintained above 1000, and no obvious inhibitory effect on red blood cells, platelets and bone marrow was found. 4. On the urinary system: A small number of cases have urinary urgency, urination and hematuria, which gradually disappear one week after stopping the drug. 5. Other reactions: A small number of cases have hair loss, which can grow on its own after stopping the drug.
