    The performance and application of  TMB:
    3,3',5,5'-Tetramethylbenzidine(TMB) is a new-type safe color primary reagent.Compared with some traditional color primary reagents such as benzidine, o-tolidine and o-diaminobenzene,the merits of TMB are high sensitive detection and excellent stability. And as a result of zoopery and Ames which is to experiment on self-acting variability of bacteria,showing that TMB is a kind of non-cancerogen and non-mutagen ,and can be used safely. Currently,TMB is taking the place of benzidine which is a strong cancerogen and other ramifications of benzidine which are  carcinogenic step by step.TMB can be applied in areas like clinical assay, forensic analysis, criminal investigation and environmental detection,etc.As a new zymolyte of peroxidase,TMB has wide applications in enzyme immunoassay (EIA) and enzyme-linked-immunosorbent serologic assay (ELISA).

    The main items of TMB applications are:
    1.making up test paper of uranalysis;
    2.detection of hepatitis virus;
    3.detection of gravidity;
    4.rapid determination of glucose,hemoglobin and albumin in blood and urine;
    5.occult blood test of excrement;
    6.to detect the value of granulocyte in blood;
    7.detection of steroid and sex hormone;
    8.determination of enzyme activity;
    9.analysis and detection of antigen, antibody and germ plasm;
    10.rapid determination of alcoholicity in saliva;
    11.pigmentation of biological specimen;
    12.quality test of water and detection of fingerprint rendering;
    13.detection of AIDS virus.

    Properties of TMB:
    White/primrose yellow crystalline powder, odourlessness and tastelessness. Difficult to dissolve in the water, but easy to dissolve in the organic solvents such as acetone, aether, dimethylsulphoxide and dimethylformamide, etc.
