     Wetting agent HY-352

    Wetting agent HY-352 is a non-ionic surfactant which is free of APEO and has good solubility in water and good mobility at low temperature. It can effectively improve pigment dispersion, color development performance and gloss of the water-based paint.

    Features

    1. Low VOC and free of APEO. An ideal environmentally friendly wetting agent

    substitution for Alkylphenol.

    2. Excellent wetting ability and viscosity reducing effect. Excellent surface wetting properties for various inorganic and organic pigments especially for difficult dispersion system. It can improve compatibility of the pigment with the emulsion. It is helpful to avoid flooding and floating phenomenon. It can improve the color development, stability, storage stability and mechanical stability of the coating.

    3. Provide emulsion with good polymerization stability, chemical stability, mechanical stability and feeze-thaw stability, etc.

    4. It is soluble in cold water and can be diluted with cold water at room temperature and will not form a gel-like substance.

    5. It can improve the wettability of the film to a variety of substrate. Excellent ability to reduce surface tension, dynamic surface tension in particular applied in spray paint. It can wet the substrate quickly and provide a good bonding effect.

    Application

    HY-352 can be used in water-based paint and colorant.

    Usage and Dosage

    Wetting agent HY-352 should be added before high-speed dispersion which is helpful for grinding.

    A level of 0.1-1.0% calculated on weight of inorganic powders is recommended and

    a level of 0.1 to 5.0% calculated on weight of organic powders is recommended.

    Non-ionic surfactant of the polyethylene glycol family. It is used as a solubilizer and emulsifying agent in foods, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals, often as an ointment base, and also as a research tool.
    Polyethylene Glycol Monocetyl Ether(Cetomacrogol 1000) is off-white waxy solid. Polyethylene Glycol Monocetyl Ether is the tradename for polyethylene glycol hexadecyl ether , which is nonionic surfactant produced by the ethoxylation of cetyl alcohol to give a material with the general formula HO(C2H4O)nC16H33. Several grades of this material are available depending of the level of ethoxylation performed, with repeat units (n) of polyethylene glycol varying between 2 and 20. Commercially it can be known as Brij 58 (when n=20) or Brij 56 (when n=10).
    Brij 58 is a nonionic surfactant or detergent for protein extraction and permeabilization of cells. It may be used in the preparation of yeast spheroplasts.
