Perilla aldehyde is colorless or slightly yellow oily transparent liquid. A cinnamaldehyde like aroma, there is oil peanut flavor. Boiling point 235 ~ 237℃[1.0×105Pa(750mmHg)]. Soluble in ethanol, chloroform, benzene and petroleum ether, insoluble in water.

Uses

GB 2760-1996 is temporarily allowed to use edible spices. It is mainly used for preparing spices and peanuts.
