N-Tertiary Butyl Acrylamide (TBA) Vinati Organics

TBA is a monomer used for the production of polymers, and an intermediate in organic chemical synthesis. The product can be used for making polymers for the following applications:

• Personal Care - The hybrid-graft Polymer of TBA has excellent curl retention even at high humidity & can be formulated over a wide range of volatile organic component (VOC) content
• Paper Industry - Polymer containing TBA is used as retention aid in Paper Industry. TBA based retention aid improves the flocculating tendency of pulp fibers, contaminants and additives to inhibit loss during drainage through proper machine wires or screens
• Thickeners - Copolymers of TBA and Acrylic Acid are useful for thickening aqueous solutions, mixtures or systems that have high performance requirements under high pH conditions
• Metal Working Fluid Mist Suppressant - Polymeric anti-mist additives based on TBA reduce mist of machine fluids at the source by stabilizing them against break-up during extreme shear conditions which occur during metal working conditions.
