In other reactions, which typically involve the breaking of the carbon-oxygen bond, ethers are relatively inert.|D-CAMPHOR is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, strong reducing agents and chlorinated solvents. (NTP, 1992)|L-CAMPHOR may be sensitive to heat and direct sunlight. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, strong reducing agents and chlorinated solvents. Also incompatible with potassium permanganate. Salts of any kind should not be added to it in water. Reacts violently with chromic anhydride (NTP, 1992).
