    Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose (HEMC)

    It is a non-ionic cellulose ether made from natural polymer cellulose by a series of etherification. It is an odorless, tasteless, non-toxic white powder or particles. It dissolves in hot and cold water to form a transparent, viscous solution, insoluble in common organic solvents, and solubility is not affected by pH value. It has the properties of thickening, adhesion, dispersion, emulsification, film forming, suspension, adsorption, surface activity, moisture retention and salt resistance.

    Application Specific:


    (1) In the field of construction, HEMC is used for wall, plaster, caulking and other mechanized construction, suitable for concentrated dry mixing and premixed mortar. It has thickening, water retention and adhesion, improving slurry pumping.
    (2)In the paste ceramic tile, marble and other ceramic tile binder, HEMC can effectively improve the paste strength, also reduce the amount of cement.
    (3)In whitewashed gypsum, water-resistant putty, bonding gypsum, caulking gypsum and other products,HEMC can significantly improve its water retention, bonding strength and other key properties. And it has the characteristics of good ease, no cracking and so on.

    (4)In the coating industry, using HEMC as a thickener can make the coating bright and delicate, not off powder, improve its leveling performance.
