Brief Introduction:
Nicotinamide riboside chloride (NR for short) is a derivative of vitamin B3 and a new type of biologically active substance. It is composed of ribose, a sugar molecule, and niacinamide (also known as niacin or vitamin B3), a vitamin B3 component, and can be ingested by eating foods such as meat, fish, grains, or through NR supplements.
Nicotinamide riboside chloride can be converted into NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) and exert biological activity in cells. NAD+ is an important intracellular coenzyme involved in a variety of cellular metabolic processes, including energy production, DNA repair, and cell proliferation. During the aging process of the human body, the content of NAD+ gradually decreases, and the supplementation of nicotinamide riboside chloride can increase the level of NAD+, which is expected to delay the occurrence of cell aging and related diseases.
