Potassium titanate whisker is a kind of high-performance reinforced fibers, featuring tiny sizes( diameter of 0.2 to 0.5(um), length of 5 to 15(um) or diameter of 0.1 to 0.3 µm and length of 3 to 5(um)). Auxin products have the features, such as high mechanical strength, excellent heat resistance, high corrosion resistance, high thermal insulation, high infrared reflectivity, and extremely low coefficient of heat conductivity in high temperature.
Excellent friction properties:
1. The friction coefficients can keep stable from room to high temperature, which assure smoothness of braking.
2. The wear of itself is small in high heat area and doesn't damage the brake disk.
3. There is hardly any friction noise during braking.The main use of the potassium titanate whisker:
As reinforcing agent of plastic composites:It can reinforce the plastic composites and improve mechanical performance of plastic which is used as various fine parts with high strength, heat resistance and wear resistance. As friction control agent:used in the brake pads for automobile, the brake tile for train and clutch piece etc.
As heat-resistant paint made of this material mixed with silicic resin.
