The serum thymic serique (FTS) is a nine-peptide secreted by its epithelial cells. Glu-Ala-Lys-Ser-Gln -Gly-Gly-Ser-Asn. A large number of in vivo and ex vivo experimental studies have proved that FTS is an important factor to promote the differentiation and enhance the function of lymphocytes, and it has the advantages of stimulating the activity of immune cells, regulating the immune function and enhancing the non-specific cellular immunity of the body, etc. It is also small in molecular weight, non-toxic, non-antigenic and does not cause allergic reactions. Some experimental literature reported that in anti-tumor, the dose of FTS 2.5mg or 1.25mg can significantly enhance and restore the killing effect of NK cells on amidships tumor cells in experimental mice, and the high dose used is more than 50 times smaller than that of thymidine. Thus, serum thymus factor is a promising biological product for development and application as a new and safe immune agent widely used in human and animal disease control.

It is suitable for primary and secondary immunodeficiency diseases, diseases caused by immune dysfunction, adjuvant treatment of tumors, aplastic anemia, acute and chronic viral hepatitis, and also for lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, allergic asthma, etc.
