LANOCERINA(8031-44-5) lanolin HYDROGENATED LANOLIN

Lanocerina has been designed and internationally patented by Esperis and is made exclusively by the company. As its name indicates, Lanocerina is derived from lanolin and, more precisely, 100% hydrogenated lanolin. As is well known, standard lanolin (both untreated and processed) is a common excipient for use in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. However, in many formulations and preparations it can unfortunately have some rather inconvenient features, such as incompatible smell and excessive stickiness as well as the fact that it oxidises easily, meaning preparations can’t be kept for long. Lanocerina on the other hand is white, has no smell or taste, does not oxidise, and is completely neutral and highly absorbent. The product has been included on the FDA list of products “approved as inactive excipients for pharmaceutical uses”. Dosage: 2 – 10 %. Packs available: 9 – 20 – 170 kg.
