Monolaurin is a medium chain fatty acid,also known as glycerol monolaurate or GML,naturally found in milk,palmetto and coconut oil,according to the scientific research,it has shown to have high antibacterial power against some well know pathogens in poultry and livestock production.

▌ Mode of Action

Antibacterial mechanism

GML easily passes through most of the cell walls of G+ bacteria (mainly composed of peptidoglycan) and some cell walls of G- bacteria (mainly composed of LOS), so that it has a good antibacterial effect on it. The bacteria whose cell wall is mainly composed of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), such as E. coli and Salmonella, have a poor antibacterial effect.

Antiviral mechanism

The antiviral mechanism of monolaurin is that it can be inserted into the envelope of the virus, and lauric acid can cause leakage of the virus’s membrane protein, and these effects can lead to the weakness or loss of the virus’s ability to replicate.

The recommended dosage of the supplement in feed is as follow (kg/mt):

Noted: Used as soon as possible after opening,unused product should be sealed and stored under cool,ventilated,dry condition. 

Package: 25kg/bag,paper-plastic compound bag and inner film bag. 

Storage: Cool,ventilated,sealed and dry condition. 

Shelf life: 24 months from the production dater.
