Colorless to light yellow oily liquid with sweet and light floral aroma. Soluble 720 times in water, miscible in most organic solvents. Boiling point is 183℃, melting point is -70℃.

Application

2-Ethylhexanol can be used to produce plasticizers, defoaming agents, dispersants, mineral processing agents and petroleum additives. It is also used in printing and dyeing, paint, film, etc.
