Dasatinib is a protein kinase inhibitor that inhibits BCR-ABL kinases and SRC family kinases, as well as many other selective oncogenic kinases, including c-KIT, ephrin (EPH) receptor kinase, and PDGFChemicalbookβ receptor, and is clinically indicated for the treatment of patients who are resistant, or intolerant, to imatinib mesylate, or who are Phillips chromosome-positive (Ph+) adults with chronic, accelerated, and acute phase (acute granulomatous and acute gonorrhoeal) myeloid leukaemia. It is used to treat adult patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) in the chronic, accelerated and acute stages (acute granulomatous and acute gonorrhoeal).
