Description:

Xylose is one of the components of the wood, and it is widely found in plants. Xylose is also present in animal heparin,
chondroitin sulfate and glycoprotein, which is of certain glycoprotein carbohydrate and serine or threonine connection unit. In nature, the free state of xylose has not been found.
1.D-Xylose as a non-calorie sweetener, D-xylose is used as fat antioxidant, medical preparation, raw material of caramel color and various fragrance, etc
2.D-Xylose can be used as flavor modifier in meat and food processing. It can be also applied as raw material of meat essence and antioxidant.

Application

1.To produce gum, chewing gum, toffee, soft candy, jelly, chocolate, chewing tablet and etc, can cool the throat, clean the teeth and be anti-cariogenic.
2.Being instead of sucrose to add in soft drink, milk, bread, preserved fruit, biscuit, yoghurt, jam, porridge and etc, to keep longer & better sweet taste because of its non-fermentability by yeast.
3.Added in cosmetic product and toothpaste, no sticky feeling and refreshing. Xylitol can keep moisture and improve the rough skin similar as glycerin.
4.Being good substitute to sucrose, to make dishes like sour & sweet pork or fish, very safe to diabetics. Our suggestion is no more than 40g / day for adult and half for child.

Xylose is sugar isolated from wood. It is an aldopentose – a monosaccharide containing five carbon atoms and an aldehyde functional group. Xylose has the same sweet flavor as glucose and is 40% as sweet as sucrose. It is easily dissolved in water. It can improve the flavor of normal sweet foods and can inhibit odors. D-Xylose is accepted by FDA as a safe food ingredient (GRAS). In the EU, xylose is also graded as a food ingredient. It is used in the food production as sweetener, nutrition supplements. As xylose is a non-caloric sweetener, it is used as a diabetic sweetener in low-sugar foods and condiment to enhance flavor and as nutrition supplements to improve nutrition value and sweetness. It is used in beverage industry to enhance flavor in low-sugar drink. It is used as intermediate in pharmaceutical for medicine manufacturing. It is used in animal medicine to test for malabsorption. It is used in hydrogen production, in cosmetics as humectant, in chemicals to produce a specialty solvent (e.g. ethylene glycol) for industry and a precursor to synthetic polymers, in human consumption, and in the production of anti-cariogenic sugar substitute xylitol.
