Nature:

Uses:
Reagent for testing copper, gold, and silver. It is also used in pharmaceutical industry, biochemical research, preparation of tissue medium, nutritional supplements and so on.

Preparation method:
Usually produced by the reaction of ethanolamine and chloroacetic acid. The reaction can be carried out at room temperature to produce amino acetic acid and hydrogen chloride, which can be further treated to produce chloride and water.

NO open flames. Handling in a well ventilated place. Wear suitable protective clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Use non-sparking tools. Prevent fire caused by electrostatic discharge steam.

Dry. Well closed. Separated from food and feedstuffs and strong oxidants. Store in an area without drain or sewer access.

Recycle to process, if possible. Consult your local regional authorities. You may be able to dissolve or mix material with a combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber system. Observe all federal, state and local regulations when disposing of the substance.
