Product Introduction:
Pine bark extract is a class of substances extracted from pine bark. Pine bark peeled from trees is collected, spread, and extracted. It contains a large number of compounds called OPCs (proanthocyanidin oligomers). OPCs have been found in many plants since the French scientist Dr. Jack McKinley isolated them from peanut shells in 1947. In a large number of studies, it has been proven that OPCs are effective antioxidants, non-toxic, non mutagenic, non carcinogenic, and have no side effects. Very safe to use.

Product Advantage:
The antioxidant capacity of pine bark extract comes from proanthocyanidins (proanthocyanidin oligomers) (OPCs), which have an antioxidant capacity 20 times that of vitamin C and 50 times that of vitamin E. As well-known antioxidants, OPCs can effectively suppress the effects of free radicals, which play an important role in degenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases, blurred vision, sunburn, and premature aging.

Product Function:

1. Cardiovascular disease
Studies have confirmed that OPCs can help strengthen the strength of capillaries, arteries, and veins, which endows them with many important clinical applications. OPCs can be used to stabilize blood vessel walls, inhibit inflammation, and mainly support tissues containing collagen and Elastin.
a) Arteriosclerosis
The oxidant LDL has been shown to play an important role in causing arteriosclerosis. Because of the excellent antioxidant function of OPCs, they can eliminate the damage of free radicals to artery wall like collagenase and Elastase, thus preventing or repairing arteriosclerosis. Animal experiments have shown that OPCs can slow or repair arteriosclerosis.
b) Venous insufficiency (varicose veins)
Varicose veins are prone to occur when blood collects in the legs, causing pain, heaviness, edema, fatigue, and floating veins. By enhancing capillary strength and reducing capillary permeability, OPCs can reduce pain and edema in venous insufficiency. Based on the same reasons, OPCs are recommended as excellent therapeutic agents for hemorrhoids. There are indications that OPCs also have a good effect on injury and postoperative edema. OPCs can accelerate the elimination of edema by repairing damaged blood vessels and lymphatic vessels that have lost fluid.
A double blind controlled drug test involving 92 participants showed that ingesting 100mg of OPCs three times a day significantly improved the main symptoms, including heaviness, edema, and discomfort with feet. Over a period of one month, 75% of patients receiving OPCs have fully improved their symptoms. Another controlled drug test involving 364 individuals also showed that the results of treatment with OPCs far exceeded those of the placebo group.
c) Retinopathy/improved vision
The ability of OPCs to enhance capillary strength and reduce permeability is very effective for patients suffering from stroke and retinopathy. OPCs have been proven to effectively improve retinopathy caused by diabetes, arteriosclerosis, inflammation and aging. It has also been reported that OPCs can accelerate visual recovery after intense light and improve visual acuity in patients with visual fatigue caused by prolonged use of computers.
A controlled (but not blind) 6-week study evaluated the ability of grape skin (seed) OPCs to improve nighttime vision in ordinary subjects. In this trial, 100 healthy volunteers who received 200 mg OPCs per day showed significant increases in nighttime vision and strong flash recovery compared to the control group who did not receive the drug.
2. Aging/Alzheimer's disease
Because OPCs can easily pass through the blood brain barrier and effectively inhibit the damage of free radicals to brain tissue, they can effectively prevent and improve Alzheimer's disease.
3. Skin Care
Due to its antioxidant capacity, OPCs are believed to protect the skin from excessive ultraviolet radiation and free radicals. A large amount of evidence shows that OPCs protect and strengthen collagen and Elastin in the skin, thus preventing wrinkles and maintaining skin elasticity. Adding OPCs into face cream is a popular method to delay skin aging. Theoretically, by repairing skin collagen and Elastin, the skin can be rejuvenated.
4. Anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and anti allergic
Because free radicals play an important role in tumor formation, OPCs can be used in moderation to exert their anticancer effects.
