Uses
1,1,2,3-Tetrachloropropene is an intermediate of the herbicide pyrochloridone.
Production method
Its preparation method is to use 1,3-dichloropropene as raw material, and obtain it through secondary chlorination, secondary dehydrochlorination and isomerization. Primary chlorination: Add 1,3-dichloropropene to a chlorination reactor with an external circulation pipeline, maintain a certain reaction temperature under light conditions, pass chlorine to the bottom of the reactor for chlorination reaction, stop passing chlorine after reaching the end point, pass nitrogen to remove excess chlorine, transfer the chlorinated liquid to a distillation kettle, add a small amount of inhibitor for vacuum distillation, and obtain 1,2-dichloropropane and intermediate fractions. Collect the 105-110℃/13.330kPa fraction as 1,1,2,3-tetrachloropropane. Primary dehydrochlorination: Add 1,1,2,3-tetrachloropropane, calcium hydroxide and a certain amount of water Chemicalbook into a reactor equipped with stirring, react at a certain temperature for several hours, add 1:1 hydrochloric acid to neutralize to acidity, and collect mixed trichloropropene by sedimentation and stratification. Secondary chlorination: The reaction equipment is operated in the same way as the primary chlorination, and mixed trichloropropene is added to obtain mixed pentachloropropane. Secondary dehydrochlorination: The production equipment operates the same as the primary dehydrochlorination, adding mixed pentachloropropane into the reactor, adding calcium hydroxide, and dehydrochlorination to obtain tetrachloropropene. Isomerization: Add mixed tetrachloropropene and a small amount of isomerization catalyst into a reactor equipped with a stirrer, react at a certain temperature for several hours to complete the isomerization reaction, and distill under reduced pressure to collect the 102-104℃/13.33kPa fraction, namely 1,1,2,3-tetrachloropropene.
