    Introduction
Vinyl neodecanoate, also known as tert-butyl vinyl carbonate, is an organic substance with a colorless liquid appearance, a pleasant smell, and is soluble in water. Vinyl neodecanoate is a derivative of neodecanoic acid and can be used as a comonomer to prepare copolymer emulsions for use in the production of paints, coatings, and adhesives.
    Properties
Vinyl neodecanoate is a chemical product and a colorless liquid soluble in water.
    Applications
Vinyl neodecanoate can be used in the following aspects: It is a medium and high temperature curing agent for unsaturated polyesters. This product is widely used in the curing process of unsaturated polyesters such as fiberglass, coatings, and adhesives, such as in the molding process of SMC, BMC, and DMC. This product is the preferred curing agent for medium and high temperature curing of unsaturated polyesters, and has a very ideal curing effect for compression molding and pultrusion molding. If it is combined with initiators such as BPO, TBPEH, and CH to form a composite initiator system, the effect will be better; in the styrene suspension polymerization process, initiator C and benzoyl peroxide (BPO) are used in combination, which is the most commonly used initiator for styrene or styrene copolymers. In the polymerization process of acrylic esters, initiator C is used to replace azo initiators to reduce the toxicity of the resin; vinyl neodecanoate can also be used for the polymerization reaction of vinyl acetate. It is an excellent medium-temperature initiator for high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE), mostly used in tubular or kettle processes, and can be used together with initiator PV (tert-butyl peroxypivalate), OT (tert-butyl peroxy-2-ethylhexanoate), initiator TBPD (tert-butyl peroxyneodecanoate) and diisopropylbenzene hydroperoxide to form a composite catalyst system, which has a better polymerization effect.
