Properties: It’s an Orange transparent liquid. Boiling point 216℃ (0.133-0.267kpa), refractive index 1.535

(26℃). Soluble in ethanol, insoluble in water. It’s the most widely used UV-B oil-soluble UV absorber in

the world; it has excellent safety and is approved for use worldwide; it is easy to apply to various

sunscreen products.

Functions:

1. Can be used as a photo initiator in UV-curing applications such as inks, imaging, and clear coatings in the

3. It can also be added to the plastic packaging as a UV blocker. Its use allows manufacturers to package the

product in clear glass or plastic. Without it, opaque or dark packaging would be required.
