Application:
The total synthesis of Taxol was successfully achieved by three laboratories in the United States through different routes, but due to the complex synthesis steps and high cost, it has no industrial application value. Later, it was discovered that 102 deacetylbaccatin III (102DAB) extracted from the leaves of Taxus chinensis could be used for semi synthesis, and paclitaxel could be obtained by introducing a chiral paclitaxel side chain f into the 102DAB molecule. Therefore, paclitaxel side chains are mainly used as pharmaceutical intermediates in the synthesis and preparation of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
