Description

Introduction: Halquinol, also known as quinoline in English, is a yellow-white to yellow-grey powder. Halquinol is a feed additive and a quinoline drug. It is a non-antibiotic antibacterial agent synthesized from 8-hydroxyquinoline by chlorination. It has a non-specific chelating effect and can combine with important metal particles to prevent bacteria from using necessary metal ions, thereby inhibiting bacterial growth and reproduction; Halquinol can interfere with the synthesis of fungal cell walls and inhibit fungal growth and reproduction. Uses: Halquinol is a veterinary API, mainly used for intestinal infectious diseases and the prevention of mold infection in feed. This product chelates with metal ions such as iron, copper and zinc, making it impossible for bacteria to use necessary metal ions, thereby inhibiting bacterial growth and reproduction. Halquinol can interfere with the synthesis of fungal cell walls and inhibit fungal growth and reproduction. In addition, Halquinol acts directly on the gastrointestinal smooth muscle of animals, reduces gastrointestinal motility, and improves nutrient absorption rate.
