1.2-Cyclohexanediaminetetraacetic acid (DCTA for short) is a white powdery crystal with a melting point of 215 (soluble in alkaline solution. It is difficult to dissolve in water and organic solvents and loses crystal water above 70°C. It can form stable chelates with various metals such as Fe.N.Cu.Zn.Cd, etc. It is generally used as a reagent for titrating Cd.Fe.Co.ZrChemicalbook, etc., and is used for rapid determination of calcium in bones and teeth. Complexometric titration of copper, thorium and sulfate, etc. It is also a metal ion complexing agent and masking agent. It is an additive for agricultural chemical sprays and daily cosmetics. It is a blood anticoagulant and dyeing auxiliary. It is a fiber treatment agent. It is a synthetic rubber polymerization initiator, a bleaching fixer and stabilizer for color photosensitive material washing, etc. It is similar to ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EITA) in chemical properties, but it is more stable and superior in performance.
