MOF-801 is a metal-organic framework (MOF) material first synthesized by the Behrens group at the University of Hannover in 2012 . Its structure features a three-dimensional framework formed by secondary building units (SBUs) connected by fumarate ligands, adopting a cubic fcu topology similar to UiO-66 but with slightly shorter bridging ligands, resulting in smaller pore cavities (tetrahedral: ~4.8 Å and 5.6 Å; octahedral: ~7.4 Å) .
