1. Basic definition

Epoxy resin is a type of high-molecular prepolymer containing two or more epoxy groups (-CH(O)CH-) in its molecule. It needs to undergo cross-linking reactions through curing agents (such as amines, anhydrides) to form a three-dimensional network structure, and eventually become a thermosetting material with excellent performance.

2. Core Features

Feature Description

High bonding strength, with strong adhesion to materials such as metals, ceramics, and glass, is often used in structural adhesives.

Resistant to chemical corrosion, acids, alkalis and solvents (except for some strong oxidizing acids).

It has excellent mechanical properties, high hardness and wear resistance, and a low shrinkage rate after curing (<2%).

Electrical insulation is widely used in electronic packaging and PCB substrates.

It can be modified flexibly and its performance (such as heat conduction and flame retardancy) can be adjusted through additives (fillers, toughening agents).
