INTRODUCTION

DOP Plasticizer ,chemical name as (Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) Phthalate) ,product name Diocty

phthalate is a light colored, low volatility, odorless liquid. It is most widely used all-

purpose plasticizer . It is insoluble in water,and miscible and compatible with all of the

monomeric plasticizers commonly used in PVC . DOP has features as good stability to heat

and ultraviolet light, a broad range of compatibility, and excellent resistance to hydrolysis .

DOP is a General Purpose plasticizer providing the desired flexibility to PVC along with an

overall balance of optimum properties at the lowest cost.

Application

DOP is used for leather, seats, PVC films, electrical wires, garden hose, paint ,coating ,Vinyl Flooring and plastic products.

1. Most widely used in the production of flexible PVC plastic, with broad range of compatibility for use with PVC resins.

2. Used as dielectric and hydraulic fluids.
3. Also a solvent for many chemicals, such as in glowstick.
