Tylosin Base(1401-69-0)

Tylosin, also known as Tylosin and Tylosin, is a commonly used veterinary macrolide antibiotic in my country. It is obtained by fermentation extraction from the actinomycete Streptomyces flexneri and is available in three forms: tylosin base, phosphate, and tartrate. Its antimicrobial spectrum is similar to that of erythromycin, with inhibitory effects against Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria, Mycoplasmas, Vibrio, coccidia, and spirochetes. It is particularly effective against Mycoplasmas, but is less effective than erythromycin against Gram-positive bacteria. It is characterized by its potent anti-mycoplasma activity, making it one of the most potent macrolides. As a feed additive, it is widely used in feeds for chickens, pigs, cattle, sheep, fish, and shrimp, promoting growth and improving feed efficiency. It is primarily used to prevent and treat mycoplasma infections in chickens, turkeys, and other animals; Vibrio dysentery and contagious pleuropneumonia in pigs; and enteritis, pneumonia, mastitis, and endometritis caused by sensitive bacteria. Subcutaneous injection is more effective than oral administration in treating chronic respiratory disease in chickens. Tissue concentrations after subcutaneous injection are 2-3 times higher than those after oral administration, and effective blood concentrations are maintained longer. Tylosin phosphate is also used as a growth-promoting feed additive for cattle, pigs, and chickens. Cross-resistance exists between this product and erythromycin.
