      Product Application

    (1) Construction industry: Used as a raw material for cement and lime, or added to concrete and coatings to enhance the strength and stability of materials.

    (2) Industrial field: Serves as a filler in the production of plastics, rubber, and paper, reducing costs and improving product performance (such as increasing hardness and whiteness).

    (3) Pharmaceutical and food sectors: Can be used as a calcium supplement (e.g., calcium tablets) or a food additive (in pastries, beverages, etc., to adjust acidity and increase calcium content).

    (4) Other aspects: Applied as an abrasive in toothpaste, an additive in cosmetics, and in wastewater treatment in the environmental protection field.

      Product Function

    (1) Reinforcement and filling: Acting as a filler in materials such as plastics, rubber, and paper, it improves the hardness and stability of products while reducing production costs.

    (2) Calcium supplementation and nutritional enrichment: Serving as a calcium source in pharmaceuticals or food, it supplements calcium for the human body and prevents and treats calcium deficiency.

    (3) Regulation and improvement: Adjusting acidity and improving taste in food; enhancing covering power and whiteness in coatings and inks; strengthening structural strength in building materials.

    (4) Friction and cleaning: Functioning as an abrasive in daily chemical products like toothpaste, helping to remove dirt from the tooth surface.

    (5) Neutralization and purification: In the environmental protection field, it can neutralize acidic wastewater, or be used to purify water quality and adsorb impurities.

    Carbonate Salts

    Reactivity Profile:

CALCIUM CARBONATE is non-combustible. Decomposes at high temperature (825°C) to give gaseous carbon dioxide and calcium oxide (quicklime). Incompatible with acids, alum, ammonium salts, fluorine, magnesium. Reacts with acids and acidic salts to generate gaseous carbon dioxide with effervescence (bubbling). The reaction with concentrated solutions of acids is rapid and exothermic. The effervesence can create extensive foaming. Ignites on contact with fluorine.
