PVC Plasticizer: DOA is an excellent cold-resistant plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It is commonly used in agricultural films, wire and cable coverings, artificial leather, outdoor water pipes, and frozen food packaging films, imparting low-temperature flexibility and weather resistance to products.

Combined Use with Other Plasticizers: It is often compounded with primary plasticizers such as DOP and DBP to enhance processing performance and stability.

As a low-temperature plasticizer for synthetic rubber, it improves its flexibility and ductility, making it suitable for applications requiring elasticity in low-temperature environments.

    Reactive Group:

Esters, Sulfate Esters, Phosphate Esters, Thiophosphate Esters, and Borate Esters

    Reactivity Profile:

BIS(2-ETHYLHEXYL) ADIPATE is an ester. Esters react with acids to liberate heat along with alcohols and acids. Strong oxidizing acids may cause a vigorous reaction that is sufficiently exothermic to ignite the reaction products. Heat is also generated by the interaction of esters with caustic solutions. Flammable hydrogen is generated by mixing esters with alkali metals and hydrides. Can generate electrostatic charges. [Handling Chemicals Safely 1980. p. 250]. This chemical is incompatible with oxidizing materials and water. It is also incompatible with nitrates. (NTP, 1992)
