Magic Snow Powder

Magic Snow Powder is a new-type de - colorizing agent that can replace PP in the snow-wash process for denim garments.

Performance Characteristics

Applicable to dyed ready-made garments suitable for discharge printing, such as blue denim, black denim and other apparel.

Especially ideal for products requiring a vintage finish.

Features rapid reaction rate and extremely simplified process flow. It is applied under low-temperature and dry conditions, delivering outstanding water and energy conservation benefits.

Particularly suitable for processing lightweight fabrics that are prone to damage during stone washing.

Compared with traditional acid washing methods (e.g., bleaching with hypochlorite solution, or stone washing with PP), treatment with Magic Snow Powder results in brighter and more vivid color retention on dyed garments.

Recommended Process

Dye ready-made garments with direct dyes, reactive dyes or sulfur dyes; alternatively, process ready-made garments or denim apparel dyed with dischargeable dyes.

The degree of dehydration and drying depends on the desired final effect, with the moisture retention rate required to be controlled between 40–70%. Special attention should be paid to avoid over-dehydration, which may cause partial areas of the garments to become nearly dry.

The most suitable equipment for Magic Snow Powder is perforation-free drum machines. Alternatively, Magic Snow Powder can be placed in plastic bags or fully dried washing machines.

Seal all openings with plastic boards or cardboard, then put the garments into the equipment. The concentration of Magic Snow Powder can be adjusted within the range of 5–20% according to the desired finish.

Magic Snow Powder can be used alone, or mixed evenly with sand/salt or foam balls/laundry bombs before treating the garments.

Run the drum for 10–20 minutes. Take out the treated garments, rinse them thoroughly with clean water once, then neutralize with 1–2g/L manganese remover/sodium metabisulfite at 50℃ for 10 minutes, followed by final rinsing.
