         Chemical Properties: Cardiogen, chemically designated as (±)-3-hydroxy-4-trimethylammoniobutanoic acid, belongs to the class of quaternary ammonium compounds. Its molecular structure incorporates hydroxyl and ammonium functional groups, with a molecular weight of 161.21 Da. Its primary target is carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPTⅠ/CPTⅡ) on the mitochondrial membrane. Acting as a “carrier” for fatty acid transport across the mitochondrial membrane, it mediates the entry of long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria for β-oxidation. Chemically stable, it resists hydrolysis within a pH range of 3.0–9.0 and exhibits strong thermal stability (stable below 100°C). It demonstrates excellent compatibility with active ingredients such as caffeine, conjugated linoleic acid, and B vitamins, with no significant contraindications.

         Physical Properties: Cardiogen appears as a white crystalline powder or colorless transparent crystals at room temperature. It is odorless, has a slightly bitter taste, and is highly hygroscopic. Highly water-soluble (solubility ≥100 mg/mL), rapidly dissolves in aqueous media such as pure water, saline, glycerin, and propylene glycol; slightly soluble in ethanol; insoluble in non-polar solvents like ether and chloroform.
