II. Application Areas

1. Food and Beverage Industry: As a multifunctional additive, polyethylene glycol 200 is commonly used as an emulsifier, thickener, anti-crystallization agent, stabilizer, and humectant. In food, it can improve product viscosity and stability, and enhance taste and texture; in baked goods, it can prevent ice crystal formation and extend shelf life; in sauces and condiments, it provides a smooth texture and inhibits microbial growth. In beverages, it is primarily used as an antifoaming agent, effectively controlling foam in beer and soft drink production processes and ensuring stable product quality.

2. Manufacturing: As a cooling and antifreeze component, it can effectively lower the freezing point of liquids and prevent the system from freezing. It is commonly used in the cooling systems of automobiles, industrial equipment and air conditioning. As a processing aid, it can be used as an additive, diluent or surface treatment agent in industries such as lubricants, coatings, paints, pulp and textiles to improve the processing performance and final effect of products.
