Product Overview
Polyferric Sulfate (abbreviated as PFS) is a high-efficiency inorganic polymer flocculant with the molecular formula [Fe₂(OH)ₙ(SO₄)₃₋ₙ/₂]ₘ. The product is available in liquid and solid forms. The liquid is a reddish-brown viscous transparent liquid, while the solid is an amorphous powder ranging from light yellow to tan. It is highly soluble in water and is widely used in the purification treatment of various water bodies.
Core Advantages
Excellent Coagulation Performance
Dense and large flocs form rapidly within 30–60 seconds, featuring fast sedimentation, low sludge production, and significantly higher treatment efficiency than traditional iron and aluminum salts.
Highly Effective Phosphorus Removal and Decolorization
Total phosphorus removal rate reaches 95%–99%, while efficiently removing COD, BOD, color, heavy metals and algae simultaneously, making it suitable for wastewater upgrading and reconstruction projects.
Extensive Applicability
Effective within a pH range of 4–11, with an optimal range of 6–9. It delivers excellent treatment performance for low-temperature, low-turbidity, high-turbidity and micro-polluted water bodies.
Safe and Non-Secondary Polluting
Free of aluminum, chlorine and harmful heavy metals. No aqueous phase transfer of iron ions occurs with excessive dosing, causing no water yellowing or equipment corrosion, and is non-toxic and harmless.
Low Dosage and Cost-Effective
Dosage is reduced by 20%–50% compared with traditional agents, resulting in lower overall treatment costs.
Application Fields
Municipal water treatment: Raw water purification in water plants, phosphorus and turbidity removal from urban domestic sewage
Industrial wastewater: Treatment of wastewater from printing and dyeing, papermaking, electroplating, slaughtering, food, chemical and electronics industries
Special scenarios: Sludge dewatering, oil removal from oily wastewater, treatment of heavy metal wastewater, ecological restoration of rivers and lakes
Other uses: Desulfurization and denitrification, foundry industry, soil improvement, etc.
