Calcium polycarbophil is decalcified in the acidic environment of the stomach to form polycarbophil, which absorbs water and swells in the small intestine/large intestine, forming a gel, increasing the volume of feces and promoting intestinal peristalsis, belonging to a volume-expanding laxative.
Dual regulatory effect: It has regulatory effects on both constipation and mild diarrhea, as it can absorb excess water or increase the water content of feces.
