What is Dinotefuran?

Dinotefuran is a broad-spectrum insecticide, which is proposed for food uses in/on leafy vegetables (except Brassica) (group 4), and for use in professional turf management, professional ornamental production, and in the residential indoor, pet, lawn and garden markets. 

Function
1.Dinotefuran is a quick-kill insecticide discovered by researchers at Mitsui Chemicals.

2.A third generation neonicotinoid, dinotefuran was synthesized with acetycholine as the lead compound, making it different from other flea control products currently in use which are based on nicotine .

3.In addition, dinotefuran does not bind to the same insect receptor sites 

4.in the nerve synapse as imidacloprid and other neonicotinoids. 

5.The binding is permanent causing continuous nerve stimulation and death of the insect.

6.Ingestion is not necessary. 

7.Dinotefuran kills by contact.

Application
1.Sucking insects such as aphids, plant bugs, leafhoppers and mealybugs.

2.Coleoptera species such as weevil, Colorado potato beetle and flea beetle.

3.Diptera species such as leafminer fly. 

4.Certain Lepidoptera species such as fruit moths and leafminers. 

5.Other species such as thrips, grasshoppers and fire ants.
