Ethyl Acrylate (EA, CAS:140-88-5,EINECS:205-438-8, HS Code:2916120000) is a colorless, volatile liquid with a characteristic pungent odor, chemically known as ethyl propenoate. It is a highly reactive acrylic monomer stabilized with 10-20 ppm MEHQ (hydroquinone monomethyl ether) to prevent premature polymerization during storage and transportation. We provide industrial and food grades complying with ASTM, FEMA 2418 and food safety standards. Applications
Polymer Synthesis (Core Application)
EA is a key monomer for producing copolymers like acrylic resins, latexes and thermoplastics. It copolymerizes with styrene, vinyl acetate, butyl acrylate and other monomers to create materials with tailored properties for various industrial applications. Widely used in manufacturing water-based emulsions, superabsorbent polymers and specialty plastics.
Coatings & Adhesives Industry
Incorporated into architectural, industrial and automotive coatings to enhance durability, flexibility and gloss. Used in pressure-sensitive adhesives, hot-melt adhesives and sealants to improve initial tack, adhesion strength and resistance to environmental factors. Also applied in leather finishes to boost flexibility and abrasion resistance.

Packaging & Storage
Standard packaging: 180kg galvanized steel drums with inner coating; 20-25kg plastic drums for small quantities. Food grade product uses dedicated food-contact approved packaging. Store in a cool (below 25°C), well-ventilated warehouse away from heat sources, open flames and oxidizing agents. Keep containers tightly sealed to prevent moisture absorption and vapor release. Shelf life is 12 months under proper storage conditions with MEHQ stabilization.

Safety Information
Classified as flammable liquid (UN 1917, Class 3) with skin sensitization and eye irritation hazards. Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air. Wear appropriate PPE (chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles, respirator) during handling. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and inhalation of vapors.
