1. Selective Alkaline Phosphatase Inhibitor

Its most prominent function in classical biochemistry is as a strong, non-competitive inhibitor of specific tissue-nonspecific alkaline phosphatase (TNAP) isoenzymes, specifically those in human bone and liver.

Target Isolation: It exerts virtually no inhibitory effects on intestinal or placental alkaline phosphatases.
Experimental Use: This extreme selectivity allows laboratory researchers to isolate, differentiate, and quantify various alkaline phosphatase isoenzymes in serum samples.
