      Product Detail

Prunolic acid is a macromolecular fruit acid with hydrophilic properties. Compared to the common fruit acid - glycolic acid, prunolic acid has certain antibacterial capabilities. At the same time, compared to common glycolic acid and lactic acid, its transdermal speed will be slower, meaning that its irritation is smaller than glycolic acid. Its lipid solubility increases, and the transdermal ability of the stratum corneum is improved. Like glycolic acid and lactic acid, prunolic acid also has a certain whitening effect. Chemically, it is a white rhomboic crystalline substance. When exposed to light, it changes color and decomposes. The melting point is 119℃. The relative density is 1.30. It is easily soluble in ether, isopropanol, ethanol and water. The R isomer has a melting point of 133℃, [α]-159.73° (ethanol), and gradually racemizes at 160℃. The S isomer has a melting point of 133.8℃, [α]+156.57° (water). Applications In the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used as an intermediate in cephalosporin hydroxazole, vasodilator drug cycloprunolic acid ester, eye drops hydrobenzol, pimorin, etc., and can also be used as a preservative. Application Prunolic acid is used as a preservative (urine). It is also used as a short-term exposure biomarker in the urine of workers exposed to styrene. Applications As a special reagent for zirconium, for the determination of copper, for organic synthesis, and as a bactericide.
