      Product Introduction

n-Pentane (also named Normal Pentane, CAS: 109-66-0, EINECS: 203-692-4, HS Code: 2901100000) is a colorless, transparent and highly volatile liquid with a mild gasoline-like odor, a straight-chain saturated alkane. We supply industrial, foaming and reagent grades complying with international quality standards. It is insoluble in water, miscible with ethanol, ether, acetone and most organic solvents, featuring low boiling point, strong volatility and excellent solvency. Widely used as physical blowing agent, extraction solvent, dewaxing medium and chromatographic reference material in foam, petrochemical, fine chemical and laboratory analysis industries.

    Applications
    Foam Plastics Industry (Core Application)
Core physical blowing agent for polyurethane rigid foam and expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation materials. It delivers high foaming efficiency and uniform fine cell structure, significantly improving thermal insulation performance and lightweight effect of foam products. It is the key raw material for building insulation boards, cold chain insulation and packaging foam.
    Petroleum Refining & Petrochemicals
Used as solvent and desorbent in molecular sieve dewaxing process to separate normal paraffins from oil products and improve low-temperature fluidity. It also serves as feedstock for naphtha reforming and isomerization units to produce high-octane gasoline components and isoparaffin solvents.
    Extraction & Fine Chemical Industry
Industrial extraction agent for natural plant essential oils and pharmaceutical intermediate separation. It also acts as medium solvent for polymerization reactions, low-pressure refrigerant and basic raw material for organic synthesis, widely applied in separation and purification processes of fine chemicals.
    Laboratory & Analytical Testing
Reference material and analytical solvent for gas chromatography analysis, used for qualitative and quantitative detection of organic components. As high-purity solvent, it is also applied in material R&D, environmental testing and other laboratory scenarios with high precision requirements.
    Aerosol & Daily Chemical Industry
Propellant for aerosol products including spray coatings, air fresheners and daily chemical sprays. It can also be used as a component of industrial cleaners for fast low-boiling cleaning of precision electronic components.
    Other Industrial Applications
Raw material for producing special solvents like isopentane and cyclopentane, gasoline blending component to improve octane number, and also applied in special scenarios such as low-temperature thermometers and artificial ice rink refrigerants.

    Product Advantages

    Packaging & Storage
Standard packaging: 150kg sealed galvanized steel drums, 1000kg pressure-resistant IBC tanks, and bulk tank truck delivery available upon request. As a highly flammable and volatile liquid, it shall be stored in a cool, ventilated low-temperature warehouse below 30°C. Keep containers strictly sealed, away from heat sources, open flames, strong oxidants and direct sunlight. Explosion-proof ventilation and anti-static facilities are required in the warehouse. Shelf life is 12 months under proper storage conditions.
    Safety Information
Classified as Class 3 flammable liquid for transportation (UN 1265, Packing Group II). Its vapor can form explosive mixture with air, and is extremely flammable when exposed to open flame and high heat. All operations shall be conducted under explosion-proof and anti-static conditions. Wear gas mask, protective gloves and goggles during handling, and open flame is strictly prohibited. In case of leakage, evacuate personnel immediately, cut off ignition sources and contain spill with explosion-proof tools. In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water; if inhalation causes discomfort, move to fresh air immediately and seek medical attention. Complete MSDS and dangerous goods qualification certificates are available upon request.
