    N-Phenyl-p-phenylenediamine is an aromatic amine compound with the molecular formula C₁₂H₁₂N₂ and a molecular weight of 184.24 g/mol.     Synthetic Process

    N-Phenyl-p-phenylenediamine is synthesized through the following routes:

    • Reaction of p-phenylenediamine with chlorobenzene: p-Phenylenediamine is reacted with chlorobenzene in the presence of a catalyst to form N-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine.

    • Purification: The crude product is purified by recrystallization from ethanol or toluene.
