Melanotan-2 (MT-2) is a synthetic cyclic peptide and a potent analogue of endogenous alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). Compared with MT-1, MT-2 possesses stronger binding activity with multiple melanocortin receptors (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, MC5R) and better biological stability, making it a core research peptide in immunology, skin physiology, neurophysiology and oxidative stress research fields.
