A colorless, transparent liquid that is insoluble in water but soluble in most organic solvents, including ethanol, benzene, chloroform, and oils.
2. Chemical Properties
Stability: The main components are saturated alkanes. The substance is chemically stable at room temperature and does not readily react with common substances.
‌Flammability and Explosiveness:‌ Extremely flammable; flash point: –50 to 8.5 °C; autoignition temperature: 246 to 287 °C; explosive limits of vapor-air mixtures: 1.1% to 6%; highly prone to combustion and explosion when exposed to open flames or electrostatic sparks.
‌Reactivity:‌ May undergo oxidation reactions at high temperatures or upon contact with strong oxidizing agents, forming peroxides; under conditions of light exposure or high temperatures, low-molecular-weight components may undergo slight decomposition.
‌Electrostatic Properties‌: Prone to generating static electricity during flow or agitation.
3. Main Applications
Laboratory Settings‌: Used as a nonpolar solvent for dissolving and extracting nonpolar compounds; serves as a common eluent or developing agent in column chromatography and thin-layer chromatography; can also be used to clean oily residues from laboratory glassware.
‌Industrial Applications‌: Used as an extractant for vegetable oils, natural fragrances, and active pharmaceutical ingredients; also serves as a diluent and cleaning agent for paints, inks, and resins; furthermore, it is used in the production and processing of synthetic rubber, plastics, and synthetic detergents.
‌Other Applications‌: In certain applications, it can be used as a fuel additive to improve fuel combustion performance.

The product strictly complies with the GB/T 2961-2014 national standard, accompanied by a complete set of MSDS, commodity inspection reports, and hazardous packaging certificates, and meets EU REACH import and export requirements. Standard packaging includes 200 kg galvanized closed-top steel drums and 1,000 L IBC containers. For large volumes, bulk transport via tank containers is available. Storing and transporting the product in a sealed, light-protected environment effectively delays oxidation and discoloration. Supply is stable and ample, supporting full-container and consolidated shipments for international trade, and meeting global chemical procurement and custom fine chemical production needs.
