Applications

Trioctyl phosphate is an excellent flame retardant and cold-resistant plasticizer. It is used in vinyl resins, cellulose resins, phenolic resins, polyurethanes, synthetic rubbers, solvents, defoamers, etc. Its low-temperature performance is better than adipate esters, and it has mold resistance and flame retardancy. Blending with DOP can produce self-extinguishing products, and it can also be used in PVC cable compounds, coatings, etc. It can also be used as a solvent in hydrogen peroxide production and as a pesticide intermediate.
